Everyone needs professional development in order to grow into and beyond their potential. This conference is first class professional development right in your own backyard! A day filled with national motivational and interactive speakers, speed networking, resource exhibitors and breakout sessions covering topics of interest to all businesses and business professionals regardless of where they are on their growth path. This is a MUST if you are ready to “unlock your potential (UP)”!

Business Excellence Awards

Month: March

Our largest event of the year, the Annual Meeting and Business Excellence Awards is an evening designed to honor and celebrate business success and Chamber success. Our annual award winners are chosen through a nomination process that is open to our members. These winners represent businesses, organizations and individuals who have demonstrated exemplary planning, operations and community involvement throughout the year.

WIN Power Summit

Month: April/half-day event

Putting a powerful group of women together for half a day of sharing insights and exchanging ideas adds up to empowerment!! The Women of Influence Network Summit is for women at all levels of personal and career development. The conference includes an inspiring keynote speaker, breakout sessions covering topics that are designed to help women succeed, resource exhibitors and lots of targeted networking.

Business on the Green

Month: May

A morning on the green networking with clients and other area businesses! Our golf outing is considered one of the best in the area. If you love to golf or just want to do some work outside, this is the event for you!

State of the Metro

Month: June

The annual economic outlook for our region. Professionals from our economic development offices in Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro share the year’s success in business recruitment, expansion and retention, job growth, trends and a look ahead at the emerging business climate. Information gained from this event is important for all businesses in our region.

Education Appreciation Breakfast and Expo

Month: end of July

This celebratory, high energy event is designed to welcome educators and education staff back to school and share products and resources that can be of value to them personally and professionally. The event gives the Chamber an opportunity to say thank to those that prepare, support, and nurture the workforce of the future! The event is open to employees of our education community including staff and educators from all public schools and private schools in Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro, Blue Ridge Community College and Mary Baldwin University.

Honoring our Heroes

Month: August 

A special time dedicated to honoring those who have put their lives at risk in order to preserve the safety of our community. Through this event, local businesses and the community can share their thanks with all area responders and their families for their sacrifice of service. 

Pig Pickin’ and Politickin’

Month: September

 Mix, mingle, and get to know your elected officials and candidates for office from the federal, state and local levels. This is an opportunity to discuss issues that matter to you personally, with those that have been given the power to affect change. It’s a casual event with good music, great pulled pork and LOTS of handshaking! (This is NOT a partisan event, but an opportunity to connect with those that represent us.)

Mix and mingle at the biggest connection event of the year! This B2B expo offers guests the opportunity to renew connections and make new ones while discovering business solutions from our showcased exhibitors. All in a high energy, after hours environment!!

Farming in the Valley

Month: October/Sunday

Farming in the Valley is a family-friendly festival geared towards children’s education in agriculture. Agriculture is at the very core of our culture in the Greater Augusta region and we want kids to learn exactly what that means in a fun, engaging and interactive format. The festival hosts great activities like a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, corn maze, pony rides, pedal pull and much more! It also gives you access to local produce and products!

Legislative Breakfast 

Month: December

This annual, pre-session breakfast is an opportunity to hear first hand from our State delegation about their top priorities for the upcoming legislative session in Richmond. The Chamber also introduces it’s legislative priorities for the session. The panel of General Assembly members are asked questions regarding these priorities and others that have been identified for the forum.
