The Shenandoah Valley Airport (SHD) is the ultimate gateway to the Shenandoah Valley for locals departing the region as well as visitors arriving for business or pleasure. Our airline partner, Contour Airlines, offers daily jet service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Contour’s interline agreement with American Airlines allows travelers to connect to hundreds of destinations around the world while enjoying a hassle-free travel experience. On the day of your flight enjoy FREE parking close to the terminal, a quick check-in process and not touching your checked luggage again until you reach your final destination. Travel to/from SHD is a far more convenient and cost-effective option than driving hours to a larger airport.

SHD also provides premier services for business and corporate aircraft, a critical asset to our region for economic development efforts and support of existing business and industry. The Airport serves as a base of operations for commercial airline service, an air medevac operator, a flight school, an aircraft maintenance operator, car rental agencies, and an extension of the Blue Ridge Community College campus for two aviation programs.
