Steve Landes was sworn in as the 17th Clerk of Circuit Court for the Augusta County Circuit Court in November 2019, after winning a Special Election to fill an unexpired term. He is a former Member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 25th District, which included portions of Albemarle, Augusta, and Rockingham Counties. Steve was first elected to office in 1995 and served for over 23 years as Delegate. He also served as Chairman of the House Education Committee; Vice Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, and served on the Rules, and Privileges and Elections Committees. Steve is now a Member of the Virginia Court Clerkâs Association and is a Member of the Legislative Committee.
