UP Conference

Month: February/half day event
Unlock your Potential at the UP Conference. This day will include interactive speakers, breakout sessions covering topics about business, leadership, personal, and community development. The day will also include a variety of Chamber businesses in our exhibit hall, a Speed Networking Session and Keynote Speaker.

Chamber Day at the Statehouse

Month: February/all day
Join your Chamber business colleagues for a chance to see the Virginia General Assembly in action. Participate in targeted meetings wih legislators on issues of interest to our region and get a personal look at the legislative process.

Annual Meeting and Business Excellence Awards

Month: March
The Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Business Awards is an evening event designed to honor businesses, organizations and individuals who have demonstrated exemplary planning, operations and community involvement throughout the year.

WIN Power Summit

Month: April/half day event
A Women of Influence Network, half-day powerhouse event that brings together accomplished female leaders, corporate executives, business owners and young professionals to share insights, exchange ideas and empower their careers. The conference includes a keynote presentation, workshops and a wine social to end the day. In addition, a trade show featuring local organizations and businesses provides the backdrop to the activity of the conference!

Economic Outlook Breakfast

Month: June
Each year, the Chamber in partnership with Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County Economic Development, presents the Economic Outlook Breakfast to highlight trends, speak to issues affecting the economy and garner wisdom from economic experts to look ahead at the emerging business climate.

Business on the Green

Month: July
A morning of networking with clients and other area businesses on the links! A great way to spend an extended time with clients or business friends in a casual and fun environment.

Pig Pickin’ and Politickin’

Month: August
Mix, mingle, and get to know your elected officials and candidates for office from the Federal level all the way down to local City Council members and Board of Supervisors. This is an opportunity to discuss issues that matter to you personally, with those that are setting state, regional, and local policy. (This is NOT a partisan event, but an opportunity to connect with those that represent us.)

 

 

Farming in the Valley

Month: October/Sunday
Farming in the Valley is a family friendly festival geared toward children’s education in agriculture. Agriculture is a significant part of our culture in the Greater Augusta region and we want kids to learn what exactly that means through hands on activities like a petting zoo, sheep herding demonstrations, apple butter churning, a corn maze, reading time with Cubbie Bear, and a pedal pull. The festival also includes vendors with local produce and products!

 

DC 2018

Month: October/2 days
The GARCC inaugural visit to Washington, D.C. Trip will be an extraordinary, high-level networking, educational and policy development opportunity bringing business leaders together with members of our federal delegation and other policy and business groups headquartered in the nation’s capital.

Legislative Breakfast

Month: December
Hear from our State delegation about the upcoming legislative session in Richmond and get a briefing on your Chamber’s legislative priorities.

Cocktails and Conversations is our speed networking event designed to create direct one on one networking in a fun and fast paced environment. Our members walk away with a fistful of new business connections!

 

WIN Power Lunches

12:00-1:30pm; Quarterly; locations vary
The Women of Influence Network (WIN) presents luncheons that provide female business owners, managers and employees the opportunity to meet, advise, support, mentor, network and encourage one another in order to promote the success of their businesses, as well as providing opportunities for the members and guests to connect and learn more about the community.

 

Industrial Roundtable

8:00-9:30am; Bi-Monthly; locations vary
This group focuses on issues and activities of particular interest and impact to the Chamber’s member businesses engaged in a wide range of manufacturing-based and manufacturing-related enterprises. The group meets at a member manufacturing business and the meeting concludes with a tour of the host facility.

{Contractor Connection}
One of the Industrial Roundtable sessions will be a true roundtable open to contractors who may be looking to do business with one of our manufacturing members. Each table will have a different area manufacturer and contractors can move from table to table to talk about opportunities.

Morning Brew

7:30-8:30am; 2nd Friday of the Month; locations vary
A great morning networking event where the business community gathers at a different business each month. Attendees have the opportunity to make announcements and hear from the host business. First time attendees are introduced each week as well.

 

 

Hot Topics For Business

12:00-1:00pm; Bi-Monthly; locations vary
Lunch & Learn style seminars intended to provide valuable and timely topics of interest or education to our members.
{Hot Topics Roundtable} One of the Hot Topics for Business sessions will be designed as a resource roundtable placing a specific industry professional (marketing, HR, accounting, legal, tech, finance, etc.) at the table and allowing attendees to circle through the tables and ask specific questions for that area.

Tech Tuesday

12:00-1:00pm; 1st Tuesday of the Month; Chamber Conference Room
A program dedicated to education in the ever changing field of technology and how it relates to you and your business. Tech Tuesday is a “bring your own lunch” event with a hands on approach. Bring your laptop and you will be guided step by step through some area of technology for practical use in your business.
 

LeadShare

Time and location will be determined by the group; twice monthly
The concept of LeadShare is simple yet effective. It is designed to assist participants to expand their business network. Each LeadShare Group meets twice a month to learn more about each member’s business and the kind of clients and opportunities each one is seeking. Each group is industry exclusive and meets in diverse geographic areas of our region.

Chamber 101

8:00-9:00am; 3rd Wednesday Monthly; Chamber Conference Room
A “how to maximize your membership” event for both new & current members. Members learn how to navigate our website, login and use member only tools, how to post jobs, events, and hot deals, how to update their company listing, and much more. Additionally, attendees will get an introduction to events that will help grow business, learn about marketing opportunities, and receive information about how to get involved.
